RAILDATE: the weekly newsletter of the Hursley Park Model Railway Society: http://steam.to/hpmrs
The Midland Railway Society has produced a specially-commissioned limited edition model from Bachmann of a 7-plank mineral wagon as used by Tom Wright of Darley Dale, Derbyshire.
The wagon is 4mm/00 scale and of the highest quality, being one of Bachmann's superb 'Blue Riband' range. The production run has been limited to just 500 examples, and all models come with an illustrated and individually numbered card containing information about Tom Wright's business.
Demand for these highly collectable wagons is expected to be high due their short prduction run.
The models cost £6.95 each - please add £1.00 P&P for one model, then 50p for every subsequent model.
1 = £7.95 2 = £15.40, etc.
To order one or more 'Tom Wrights', please send a cheque for the appropriate amount payable to "Midland Railway Society" to:
Nick Wheat 56 Main Road Holmesfield Dronfield Derbyshire S18 7WT
Proceeds from the sale of the wagons will help to raise funds for the Society, which is dedicated to historical study of the Midland Railway Co.
A picture of the wagon is on the web:
