Eurostar has announced it has Government consent to close Waterloo International in 2007, as soon as St Pancras opens. North Pole will also close when Temple Mills depot opens, although the 8-road depot under construction there is much smaller than the current depot. SWT are likely to take over the use of Waterloo. Originally Waterloo was to remain open until 2010 but Eurostar admits it cannot afford to run two stations.
