Paul Bartlett' fotopic wagon photographs update...
SMBP444 of 1902 in detail as internal user 041204 - 40 photographs. This had originally been built by Midland Rly C & W for New Jersey Pure Oil and registered by the Midland Railway. With Peter Fidczuk this venerable internal user tank was recorded in considerable detail on my 44th birthday. Tinsley TMD had a reputation for unfriendliness towards the gricer fraternity but on this day we were welcomed in, given a coffee and invited to have a look around the workshops, while we waited for the boss to give us the go ahead. Although many elderly features remained some modifications - such as the oil boxes had been fitted. It had received a general repair on February 1961 and from a letter allocated to Barton at end of 1966. http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/c453208.html
BR Ferry Tube diag 1/449 - 24 photographs These rare tubes (just 20 built) were a nice design, combining some of the best of the LMS tube design, as extended by BR, and a full air brake brake rigging. In the engineers fleet they wandered far, including to the continent and received some unusual liveries. http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/c451069.html
ESSO Bitumen tank wagons - 40 photographs These are batches of the earliest style of vacuum braked tank wagons built in 1959 and 1963 for carrying bitumen with end flame tubes and lagging. Some later rebuilt with air brake. http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/c445430.html
I am not sure when these were rebuilt from Class A tank wagons as Bitumens and would welcome more information. Later rebuilt with air brake ESSO Bitumen tank wagons - rebuilds - 21 photographs http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/c446906.html
Norsk Hydro Holdall German registered - 22 photographs used for various traffic including fertiliser from Immingham. Some detail photographs. http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/c444399.html

A series of photographs of the Bogie bolster Cs in BR use. This is the bogie bolster most suitable for modellers, they were numerous and BR Bogie Bolster C - Unfitted - 85 photographs http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/c435491.html
BR Bogie Bolster C - as cement mixers - 14 photographs http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/c434505.html
BR Bogie Bolster C - as cable drum carriers - 21 photographs http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/c433782.html
BR Bogie Bolster C - vacuum brake - 62 photographs http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/c432496.html
BR Ford Palvans - 43 photographs The progenitor of the air braked vans which were finished in Ford blue and later were used as barriers etc. http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/c422358.html
and then some had longer lives as under runner with the body removed and rail put on the floor to provide weight. Ford Palvans as under runners etc. 10 photographs http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/c422528.html
COV CD - VCA air brake vans, includes departmental use - 40 photographs The more unusual of the air braked vans introduced by BR in the early 1970s. http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/c417441.html
Additions made to the following collections: Cowan Sheldon 6 1/2 and 10 ton hand cranes on BR - 1 addition http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/c88721.html

And finally... from Ralph Rawlinson...
At Mill Hill East: "Hello this is [xxx] speaking, I am the captain of your train, and we will be departing shortly, we will be cruising at an altitude of approximately zero feet, and our scheduled arrival time in Morden is 3.15pm. The temperature in Morden is approximately 15 degrees Celsius, and Morden is in the same time zone as Mill Hill East, so there's no need to adjust your watches."
