Video news from Nick Wheat...

The first "race" sequence from the enigmatic BTF film, "The Finishing Line", has become available for download from Screenonline. Now many of us can get a glimpse of what the fuss was about (the film was banned - Ed) with this controversial film by John Krish: http://creative.bfi.org.uk/titles/7239.html

Beulah has put a lot of ex-BTF stock footage online for view - and some of it is quite good.

Saturday 26th May 26th 11.30am sees the opening of the Rhyl Miniature Railway's brand new station and Museum complex. This will be the beginning of Gala celebrations lasting over the whole of the Bank Holiday weekend. The RMR is Britain's oldest passenger carrying miniature railway being built by Bassett-Lowke in 1911. The gala will feature visiting locos from three of the UK's other miniature lines plus a vintage car rally, boat rides on the marine lake around which the railway runs and other attractions. These include the launch, with author signing, of the first all colour Jack the Station Cat book for children (3-9 years). This is a brand new revised version of "JTS Cat goes to School". The Museum will show, among other things, the contribution the LNWR and LMS made to the development of Rhyl as a seaside resort. There will be a display of LMS/LNWR railway relics plus a touch screen history of the RMR.
