RAILDATE - your free weekly guide to what's happening, what's new and what's on

I'm always happy to receive information about forthcoming events to publish in Raildate - no
matter how far ahead (I already have dates on file for October 2012!).  Ideally, please send in
the format that I use here.  Please don't ask me to go searching around a website to glean the
information... I'm sorry, but life's too short...!

The LMS-Patriot Project:

Howard Benson's audio site is always worth visiting.  The latest recording is with Adrian
Vaughan and the Black Diamonds item is also well worth a listen.

Howard has also created new pages in the Water Haigh Colliery section of his Woodlesford
station website.  It was one of the last to have steam locos.

Rick Eborall's photos of a charter with Robinson O4, 63601, at the GCR on 12th October - billed
as possibly the last chance to photograph her in BR black before being repainted into GCR
livery for her 100th year celebrations!

Another day another photo charter - this time with two southern locos 30777 and 34007.

West Somerset Railway Autumn Steam Gala, 1st October.
North Yorkshire Moors Railway War Weekend 14th October.

The real events that inspired the Thomas stories.
Specifically here:

Monsal Memories is a series of six 10-minute podcasts about people who worked on, lived by or
travelled on the former Midland Railway which ran through the heart of the Peak District
National Park from 1863 to 1968.  All six episodes are now available.
