Raildate is taking a short summer break - the next issue will be on or around 24th July

The Vytopna Restaurant in Wenceslas Square, Prague, Czech Republic, about 5 minutes walk from
the railway station, has an 0-gauge model railway to serve the diners, but cannot deliver large
items such as plates as they are "out of gauge", so the waitress delivers these in the normal
way; items such as beer and cutlery can easily be accommodated.  The railway is automated, and
delivers your order directly to your table.  Empty bottles or written messages for more service
can be dispatched on the return working.  On arrival, you have to ask for a railway table,
otherwise the railway bypasses you on a double-track main line that weaves through the
restaurant.  All the railway tables have their own private siding, and the train automatically
reverses back to the kitchen after allowing about 10 minutes for unloading.  Apparently, the
food is good too, and comprises both local specialties and an international menu.  Some photos
appear on the Raildate Facebook page.
